guana island

Guana Island, in the Virgin Islands is a supreme piece of the world which is conserved very well and is greatly suited to people who love nature and luxury all in one!  It is privately owned by the Jarecki family who have done great work in keeping its history and nature intact.

How to Get There?

As with many of the Virgin Islands there is a hub where people usually go to, this is the Virgin Island’s Beef Island airport which can be accessed from either San Juan, St Thomas, Antigua or St Maarten.  The island has a boatman who will be there waiting for you to take you direct to the island!  There are also private charters available for the more affluent traveller!  Contact the resort directory to plan these.

When is the Best Time to Visit?

Between the months of April to June are some of the best times with mild weather and little rain.  July and August are usually slightly warmer, but there is an increased risk of rainfall, so bare that in mind.

What is there to do there?

As you can imagine with a private island retreat, there is a lot to do here!  It’s really up to you how much you want to experience.  Once you’ve paid for your holiday, all meals are included in the price and all of the activities so there is no reason not to enjoy these.  They include hiking, massages, yoga, tennis courts and some water activities include, snorkelling and scuba diving!
